Unknown is a tool to bring the outside inside.

    cre·a·tiv·i·ty –noun

    1. Creativity is a process made up of two parts; ideation and innovation.
    2. Ideation is defined “as the power of the mind for forming ideas or images; the exercise of such power.” Ideation drives innovation.
    3. Innovation is “fresh thinking that creates value”. Innovation happens at the intersection of cultures, when thinking frameworks (ideas) collide. For example, the discovery of DNA was made when Crick and Watson’s theoretical ideas came together with Franklin’s imagery, in a chance encounter through a mutual friend.
    4. Cultures are the dissemination of creativity. The Arts, Business and Media are examples of cultures. Cultures are made up of disciplines. The boundaries of which are converging.
    5. Creativity is the whole process; bringing together and rearranging ideas to make innovations, and applying them to a new context through cultures.

Unknown will make your company more creative and therefore stop you losing accounts. We offer faster and less expensive innovations, of a different kind and in a different way.

We are developing an open ideation platform that safely distributes thought outside your company structures. This is a risk free opportunity for you to find and then nurture brilliant ideas that previously could not be found.

Figure 1. Creative capacity; currently fixed in mediocrity (y), with few extremes in the differentiation of ideas (x). This is what we know as the ‘creative’ (!) industries. The Unknown (z) lies outside these horizons.

We deal in un-knowledge. The things you don’t yet know or know you need to know…. If you imagine ideas as a galaxy made up of stars. The current creative industries and structures are only our solar system. Our mission is to take you on a journey to the unexplored space beyond.

We are a black hole into which found ideas fall and remain in a constant state of flux, colliding together (self-structuring) to form innovations; in the same serendipitous way Crick, Watson, Franklin and Wilkins discovered DNA.

The unknown space is the lack (and limitations) of our knowledge. You think you understand more than you do, mistaking “the solar system” for “the galaxy”. The best ideas are the ones which can’t easily be conceived by the current idea generating population. Unknown believes everyone has the capacity to be creative. The power lies in the intermediary platform that harvests individual ideas and turns them into innovations. That power is (U)unknown and you can be a beneficiary.
